Project- Fern & Co Landscaping
Objective- Create Tradeshow design layout
Process-
This project consisted of the creation of a design for a stand at a tradeshow. For further context, this project was related to an earlier work where we created a brochure for a company that provided services such as landscape design and the like. I came up with a brochure and logo for a fictitious landscaping company and then applied this same logo and style to the tradeshow layout. This piece was interesting as it involved putting together a layout that would be seen on a large scale. Being faced with challenge of producing something cohesive yet interesting enough to catch the eye from a distance was a new and fun learning curve.
Step one required 3 pencil sketches of possible layouts appropriate for a tradeshow stand. Next, these sketches were evaluated and the 2 strongest were selected to develop into digital semi comps. After further revising and fine tuning it was time to apply the layout to a 3D mockup. Having had some experience now with mockups, I enjoyed the process of utilizing settings in order to attain the desired effect.
This piece of content was a thought provoking one to design as I discovered a new way to represent and advertise a company's services. Having the ability to create something which would positively impact a service was a enjoyable process. I look forward to the opportunity to develop content similar to this in the future
